This 3 storey office block with apartments above is nearly completed. OBD has been structural engineering on this project from concept stage to this final construction phase, working closely with the client, the architect and the project managers.

FOURTEEN is a true mixed-use development that includes retail units on the ground floor, office space on the first floor and three apartments above. It is a slick modern design that is based around a concrete structure that includes precast concrete walls, shell beams and rib and infill flooring. Design features include proper green walls, architectural screening, standing seam metal cladding and roof louvres. OBD consultants worked with Jurado and Woodview Construction early in the project to giving early guidance on design issues and discussions around buildability, helping ensure the design stayed on budget. The project involved a fast track design process, that led to staging of both procurement and consent, to ensure the client could maintain a set completion date.
OBD Consultants provided structural design services including; Modelling using Revit, Etabs and Safe, enabling detailed design of foundations, precast panels, concrete structures, precast floor, bracing demand and allocation, fire stability, timber. Building consent and construction documentation included full structural drawings package, Revit Co-ordination followed by Construction Monitoring during construction period.
